Little baby, sick

Warm baby rub...nasal spray...some saline drops,
Some more crying .....wheezing.. and sneezing!
Cough...fever... and tissue papers piles,
The never-ending mucus from a tiny nose is amazing!

Stuffy nose...gasping breath...little lips open wide,
...restless sleep... interrupted by cough and crying;
She wakes up tired.. frustrated...angry,
...and then needs lot of pacifying!

Drool on the cheek is cute...
...until it gets to a deluge,
An occasional barf is a different turf,
...until it becomes a sludge !

Past those mountains of soiled clothes...
across the stream of diapers;
...finally catching some peaceful Z's,
clutching her fuzzy bear...
..wrapped up in her pink blankie...
with tender loving care...
